...Not the illness variety but the computer kind. There are times, I am not kidding, that I truly am sick and tired of computers and all their viruses and problems. I have been without my computer for over a week and while I missed writing and looking at something slightly larger than my Droid, I can't say I was itching to get my computer back up and running.
However, I did learn something about myself:
1. I am not as "hooked" on my computer as I once thought. I actually liked not being a slave to this chair, office, and screen. Now, that being said, I must be honest. I have access to the internet, email, Facebook and so on on my Droid phone and so I wasn't completely shut out, but I almost think I COULD.
2. I cannot write long hand. Holy crap. When did that happen? Well, probably mid-90s if I had to guess. There was once a time that I wrote everything long hand. This past week I tried. I really, really tried and every day my hand holding a pen and my brain refused to work together. FInally, frustrated and annoyed, I went back to making notes and writing down thoughts instead. Apparently, my creativity is distinctly linked to how my hands type rapidly on a keyboard. Sigh. How bloody inconvenient!
So, I finally worked for 90 minutes, while talking to Larry, to rid ourselves of some damaging virus that had attacked my little dinosaur computer...and I am back officially online.
Now my plan is to get all these thoughts and notes in some organized form and I will be back because I have SO MUCH to say I think I'm going to explode. You have been warned.
