A Gem Of A Day
I'm afraid that if I don't update, God forbid letting more than 24 hours pass without saying anything, that I might be stoned with clam shells.
Ouch.
I am tired today.
And PMSing.
Don't you wish you were my family?
Not sure I have much creativity today.
Which is going to become obvious as soon as you continue reading this post.
I know, you are probably saying, "what makes today so different?"
Our yard is just about completely winterized.
The vegetable garden has been laid to rest.
RIP zucchini's, can't say I will totally miss you.
I will be eating you until next summer!
The grass has been given nighty night treats.
Which the dog must think is for her, since she was eating it.
Love that about winter: a break from gardening.
That rocks!
Went scrapbooking on Friday night.
Nothing like watching the movie Annie, followed by Officer and a Gentleman, and then topped off with Parent Trap.
Which caused me to get the giggles so much that I had to excuse myself and walk outside!!
We went from naked Richard Gere and Debra Winger going at it...
...To the Parent Trap.
I almost peed my pants.
I think the, um, elderly women present didn't exactly appreciate the nudity.
And the movie was turned off before the hanging, which might have made them gasp more.
I did finish the mini album of my parents building their house in Carlsbad.
Exciting stick photos and my mom on the phone in the middle of a half framed house.
(I warned you this was going to be a lackluster post...who is still reading this?)
Went out with my brother Mike last night.
Had a great time!
Ate the best Thai food ever...our favorite restaurant here in town.
I practically eat myself sick when I eat Thai food!
Perhaps that is red flag.
I saw the red flag, and threw the sonofabitch aside and kept eating.
I want to bathe in Thai food I love it so much.
Came back to our house and after Larry took the babysitter home we watched a really cute movie, Tortilla Soup.
Today I have sat in my Red Room trying like hell to create.
The house this afternoon smelled heavenly: Larry was baking 8 dozen oatmeal chocolate chip cookies, a loaf of cheddar/onion bread, and I had a pork roast in the crock pot with cranberries, honey, nutmeg, etc.
Yum-my.
Laundry isn't completely finished.
The kids rummaged through the Halloween costume bins in the garage searching for a costume.
Jennifer is going to be a princess.
Josh wants to be an old lady.
Of course, he came in to show me and he was wearing my college graduation gown, a black skirt underneath, carrying a purse, and requested my bra and a gun.
Nice.
The therapists could have a field day with that one.
And, Harrison wants to be one of those disgusting zombies with a sword through his head.
What happened to Buzz Lightyear, fluffy elephants, and puppy dogs?
Now the kids have started, one by one, to carve their pumpkins.
I've got entirely too many chapters (a few main and then 12 more additional after that) to finish by next weekend which means I have to seriously light a match under my ass and curb possible distractions this week.
The book will then be about 95% completed.
OK, I have some layouts to work on, pumpkin carving to inspect, and some oatmeal chocolate chip cookies to eat.
I guess that just about wraps up my exciting, riveting life.

yes I too just about pee'd my pants when Parent Trap came on the scene. My creative juices were sucked from me completely at that very moment.
You are one busy chick. Push through the block, go ahead you can do it!
Did you get your seeds rinced?
See in just a bit.
((hugs))
