When I planned this trip to Southern California I decided I would take a tea towel embroidery project with me. Why not? There will be plenty of downtime in the evenings, as the kids swim, and possibly in the car.
Then as plans began to form and change and we are now spending just about two weeks down there I decided to plan about four tea towels to bring with me. I know. I won't ever complete all four but this way it will give me a variety so I don't get bored.
Here is a tea towel that has all the names of all our U.S. Presidents and the years they served. Yes, it is crazy. Yes, I am crazy. But you know what? I LOVE IT!!! I can hardly wait to stitch the hell out of it. Polk, Jackson, Adams, Harrison. Love, Love.
Here is one that shows "state" information on all three states in which we have lived or currently live. Again, FUN.
This one is just for simple enjoyment. Full of doodles and birds and trees and mushrooms and rainbows and raindrops. All the things that make me smile. Why not stitch it so I can wipe up my coffee mess? Exactly!
And the one that makes my heart go pitter patter and jump up and down with joy and glee. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, that is the map of the United States. And I am going to stitch that little gem up and it will make me happy and happy and make me smile and smile. The United States! Stitched on a tea towel! Awesome, right? I know!!!
