As I was engrossed in sorting layouts into two piles: one that was finished and ready for an album; and one that required journaling I came across a handful of layouts that made me stop and think, "oh, I really like this layout!" Some I remember doing and others, believe it or not, I don't have memory of! I might have already shared these on my blog, but here are just a few again that I happen to find enjoyable...
I can't sew to save my life and would have failed the class in high school if my mother wasn't such an expert sewer that she took my projects and sewed them for me (oh, stop judging me!) so to think that I actually sewed on my layout would be laughable. It is faux stitching...but I just love the papers and the border done this way.
I just love trees so much there are simply not enough words to describe my love...
Just a fun page using my favorite colors and come on, circles!! Plus, I love when I whip out my typewriter for journaling!!
For starters, this is a perfect example of the pages I do that fit a certain story I want told. This kind of page, in addition to the one above and below, are not for my regular month-by-month scrapbooks. They are instead for separate albums altogether that use up photos that help illustrate a moment in time, a seemingly small story, a glimpse into my thoughts, or to capture and remember something for the future. I also like the strips (of course) that surround the photo.
The circles are done with one of those plastic templates that were super popular right before I began putting the brakes on purchasing new scrapbook supplies a couple of years ago. I went from the cutting edge of scrapbooking living in southern California to the somewhat-behind Boise to the Never-Heard-Of-Scrapbooking in northeast Pennsylvania...but, I digress...I love the circles and would love to create more with the template if only I didn't throw all my paint away before my last move.
