Okay, it pains me to say this aloud: This is how unorganized my scrapbook stuff has looked since early autumn. I know, right? Autumn! I am really disgusted with myself. But, alas, I am finally getting the desire to organize it all and actually scrapbook again so that is the turning-that-frown-upside-down.
BEFORE: Seen Via Chaos
The corner mess. This corner has looked this way since I unpacked all the boxes in September. The only change would be I ADDED more crap to the already piled crap. And that drawer thing is full of stamps...and you might not be able to see it all but it is more or less still taped from when we moved it in late July. The bag towards the right of the photo is filled with a project I was working on when I last scrapbooked back in, oh, maybe October.
The infamous PAPER I refered to in my post earlier this month...you remember, the one where Corinna ALWAYS asks if THIS IS ALL I HAVE? Look at how messed up that paper is! I hated looking at it everytime I walked in there. Didn't obviously motivate me, but worht mentioning that I hated looking at it.
The right side of the dresser has four drawers and each one more messy than the next. It was my go-to-drop-off place. Throw it in a drawer, forget about it until the day after never. Worked for me for awhile. Join me, will you...lalalalalalalalalalalalalala(land).
More drawer craziness. I knew I would have to deal with these drawers sooner than later but I was immersed in Not-Caring.
I keep totes full of stuff on top of the entertainment center in here. They are full of memorabilia crap, card making (ha), altered art materials, theme bags full of embellishments, foam stamps, etc. The problem is that they weren't really labeled so I had no idea what was actually up there.
And a glimpse into one of the cabinets in the entertainment center. What you see are totes full of more misc. thrown-together crap, some of my monthly tote bags that I use when I work on my chronological scrapbooking, favorite books, etc. Oy.
...and here are the other half of the monthy tote bags sitting in a basket under the window.
When my mom came to stay in December she asked me, "Are you going to move these large totes so I can hang my clothes?" Um, no, I wasn't planning on doing that (where would I put them?). Can't you just squeeze your hanging clothes on the other side of the totes? This to me is a friggin mess. I hate looking at the closet like this.
And a closer look in case you couldn't see it all in the above shot. Piles of stuff ranging from a blanket that needs stitching to albums that need displaying to containers of photos that need sorting.
And a quick glimpse INSIDE one of the entertainment glass cabinet where I put some decorative items and jars/containers of buttons, fibers, and other miscellaneous embellishments.
Okay, for the most part, that is all of it up close and personal. Tomorrow I will share the in-between process that it takes me to organize this mess!
